Mixed Reality Solutions
Mixed Reality combines virtual and augmented reality technologies to create immersive environments where digital and physical elements coexist. In construction and design, it allows teams to visualise, interact with, and modify 3D models in real time, directly within real-world settings. This technology enhances collaboration, supports faster decision-making, and streamlines workflows by offering an intuitive, on-site or remote way to explore complex designs and data.

Methodology
At Parametrix, we actively experiment with VR, AR, and MR tools to enhance our internal workflows and ensure our 3D design outputs meet the highest standards. Our diverse hardware suite allows us to trial, test, and refine cutting-edge immersive solutions across a variety of use cases.
01
Before project initiation, we conduct a discovery call to understand the client's vision, goals, and intended use of the technology. This allows us to define the appropriate technological scope and set realistic expectations for delivery and outcomes.
02
During this phase, we create 3D content optimised for virtual or augmented reality environments. These assets are rigorously tested across various hardware platforms including headsets and tablets to ensure the best possible user experience. Regular feedback sessions with the client help guide refinements and keep the project aligned with expectations.
03
As the project nears completion, we deliver the required hardware (such as headsets or tablets) and conduct a hands-on training session and live demonstration. Supporting documentation and user guides are made available via our cloud platform, with ongoing post-deployment support provided to ensure long-term success.
Benefits

Real-Time Design Visualisation in Context
Mixed Reality merges digital models with real environments, enabling true-scale on-site interaction with BIM data to validate design intent and spatial coordination.
Improved Collaboration and Decision-Making
MR enables multiple stakeholders to review, annotate, and manipulate virtual models in shared environments, improving communication and accelerating approvals across teams.
Reduced Errors and On-Site Rework
By overlaying digital elements onto real environments, MR highlights clashes, alignment issues, and construction deviations early, reducing costly rework and increasing build accuracy.
