The iconic Royal Museums Greenwich entrusted us to digitise their estate, delivering cutting-edge BIM solutions that improved building operations and management with precise digital models and comprehensive survey information.
Working in a complex heritage environment required precise coordination and deep respect for the estate’s historical value. Intricate architecture, limited access windows, and a restricted work schedule demanded highly disciplined digital survey workflows.
We maintained minimal disruption to museum operations while preserving a seamless experience for visitors. Every stage was planned to meet heritage compliance and deliver accurate outputs without compromising the integrity of the site.
We used laser scanning, drone surveys, and traditional methods to deliver accurate building records, data-rich 3D inventory models, and comprehensive fire safety information. A Common Data Environment (CDE) allowed multiple departments to access shared data, automate information workflows, and improve asset management and repair planning.
This digital infrastructure also enabled better refurbishment planning, such as roof replacements, and streamlined temporary event logistics with model overlays. The project met its scope, delivered operational value across departments, and laid the groundwork for future research in Heritage BIM.
Our BIM consultancy empowered Royal Museums Greenwich with a deeper understanding of digital surveying and Building Information Modelling, significantly advancing their asset management strategy and long-term digital transformation goals. The work we delivered became a foundation for estate-wide innovation, supporting upcoming initiatives in fire safety compliance and decarbonisation.
